MIMI (Emily Devers) considers herself a creative, rather than an artist. Practices include a range of media including illustration, brand development, tattooing, and photography (on a good day).
This year she’s embraced a hiatus from the tertiary world and has been exhibiting, curating and co-creating with other brisbane artists.
Earlier in 2011 she curated and featured in a fundraiser exhibition at Brisbane’s now extinct architectural gem - The Alley. Painting live with artist Mad Betty, the work was donated by auction to the Suong Appeal.
More recently she curated Blackstar’s first photographic exhibition ‘Tassie by Treadly’ which turned into a 250+ person party, and co-curated and won the annual ‘Paint Off’ at street art cafe Lucky Duck.
Right now, she’s looking forward to a solo exhibition upon her return from New York.
